The only space dedicated to video art and digital creation in Spain opened to the public

OBLIQUO is a cultural device embedded in the city. A minimal gesture and a clear position. Initiated by the platform [CRU], it activates in Madrid a space dedicated to the moving image, with a focus on video art, film-based installations and performances, and practices at the intersection with the digital and the interactive.

A vertical screen displaces these works into the urban flow, integrating them into the rhythm of the neighborhood and opening a direct dialogue with its context.

As Walter Benjamin noted, “every document of culture is at the same time a document of barbarism.” OBLIQUO embraces this ambivalence and operates from a critical standpoint.

Continuous programming of national and international artists, emerging and established. An open call to explore the vertical format. An independent project that situates art outside its usual frameworks.

OBLIQUO does not seek to represent the present, but to intervene in it.
